Vista Network Problem

i hv installed vista ... and its working awesome no hangs no nuthin ... jus awesome .. but their are this 2 problems i m facing .... one is i cant browse thru internet exploler .. it just says check ur connection .. and i can connect thru msn ....and the otha problem in vista the network things are changed if u check connection properties their is no tcp/ip or sumfin lyk tht in xp n older version it was ... so coz of this i m unable to connect thru dc++..vista has ipv4 and ipv6 .. dun knw much bout em ..i guess one is fo internal network and otha is fo internet ...

u can see properties when you hover mouse over connection, it will say something like connected or not. Moreover XP like properties can be obtained by going through a couple of menus from the inital status screen that comes in when you clikc on that network (monitor) icon.

ou can disable Ipv6 cz its new and most networks esp in pakistan do ot foolow Ipv6 addressing scheme, you old setting will work on ipv4 settings.

ipv4 & ipv6 are both for internet...but ipv6 hasnt been implemented here as waqas said. Vista is a lil confusing with menus sometimes...but if u keep going deeper u might find wat u r looking for. are u okay with the prompt window that pops up when u are installing sumthing or moving sumthing, etc.?? coz i really hated this part...making vista secure by pissin off ppl.

there is a workaround for the security window popping. Search on teh net i did that and now theyre minimal.

i found that out to by exploring vista. but i was just concerned if u guys are ok with it...coz im simply not!

guys focus on my problem .. i m unable to sign in(Live Messenger) it gives me error code 80072ee7 .. vich means i hv no connection to internet .. and b4 ie wasnt even1 working whn i switched protected mode to off in ie settings .. ie startd workin.... but no luck widh ..messenger...and khasif no i didnt see ny promnt window while install sumfin or moving ...and do you guyz knw bout .dream feature

yes I do, u have to install deramscene update or stardock deskscapes to use dreams as background

^ or vlc player if u r on XP and cant avail dreamscene.
