Hey people..
A friend of mine needs a little help... He's gathering information about Boot Timing on Different OS e.g Windows XP, Windows Vista...etc...

So im sure most of u pretty much restart everyday... So can you please just look at the clock before u hit the Restart button and again when windows has loaded...

Thanks in advance

XP Professional sp2(with the latest updates) boot time till login screen 35seconds.
The most important factor should be the hard disk.
I have Seagate 160gb HDD 7200rpm with 2mb cache
My processor is an Intel Core2duo.

install the original windows xp and boot time will be reduced considerably. only one progress bar appears at startup process

btw my boot time is 50 seconds, including the wierd hdd light glow right after windows and everything is loaded which takes extra 10 sec
