its a virus/worm/spyware that makes this happend .. scan your system with a antivirus or antispyware

after doing that .. create registry file (.reg) and append it to the registry ... its tested .. works for me atleast

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden]
"Text"="@shell32.dll,-30499"
"Type"="group"

00,25,00,5c,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c,00,53,00,\

Search the Forum for Amvo.dll. I dont think that it is possible to delete the system volume information even if there is no virus. However symptoms of hiding unhiding isuse suggest the windows registry being maliciously modified!

fraz will become famous soon enough
Very very familiar problem under Win XP

many virus and malicious Trojans use this technique to
hide and restrict access to their files and folders.

Use an updated Antivirus and Scan ur system ...
U can also use any online scanner as well ...
