Maxcom has upgraded their users' connections! Woot! woot!

Take that Linkdotnet! haha...I am so happy I could cry...*sniff*

128K--->256K
256K--->512K

I am not sure what the 512K connection has been upgraded to. It seems they have scrapped the 128K connection altogether!

And? Micronet already did that for Islamabad.

Good for internet users in Karachi that Maxcom finally woke up.

Actually as per MoIT 128k connection also falls under broadband. Its good that ISPs are scrapping them out.

I had heard that the upgrade was in the pipeline as soon as LinkDotnet cropped up. In fact if I am not mistaken, CEO MaXcom Ali Maskatiya said that himself in a thread at A Pakistani Tech forum!

Yeah man, either that or I am hallucinating They're upgrading from client to client. There was a gap of an hour or so between upgrades of my and my friend's connection even though we live in the same area. So it might take some time.

Speeds are still upgraded and the tariff has also been updated on their website so I guess the change is pretty final.
