Your favourite telecom service provider, Nayatel (Pvt) Ltd. (NTL) always aims at offering best value for money to its customers so that they can take full advantage of broadband. This time, we are bringing a new and exciting package – FTTU Ultimate - for our Home FTTU customers, to be made available from Monday, 15 January 2008.

FTTU Ultimate offers unlimited downloads from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am all days and Sundays full day besides 4 GB volume/month during rest of the hours at no additional cost (i.e., Rs. 999/month/4Gb + unlimited volume 8:00 pm - 8:00am and Sundays) with 512kbps upload/512 kbps download speed. Since the package is specifically designed for home users, this would offer a dynamic IP address.

FTTU Ultimate would empower Internet users to work on high volume applications like down loading audio and video files, sharing videos, photos, online gaming, etc., during off peak hours without fear exhausting their quota. The package is also great for homes that have more than one PC using FTTU. There are no download restrictions in the off peak hours, making this ideal for those who are concerned regarding additional volume charges and volume caps.

If you want to opt for FTTU Ultimate Package, please drop us an email at support@nayatel.com and your account would be shifted to new package without any additional one time or monthly charges.

If you don’t want to change your package to FTTU Ultimate, please also drop us an email. As a policy, all FTTU Home 4 Gb accounts would be shifted to FTTU Ultimate package on 0000 hours, Monday, 15 January 2008. Customers who want to remain on static IP are, therefore, kindly requested to inform NTL in advance of their consent.

cool. but this is for Nayatel subscribers only right? and not for the Micronet subscribers..

i didnt get an email from micro, only form nayatel though i am not their customer officially!

A similar offer is there for Micronet subscribers too.

does this begin today or from the 15th, if it is today, time for some serious downloading!

edit: whats the disadvantage of having a dynamic ip????? As far as i know there arent any!

edit 2: why do nayatel customers go to dynamic ip and micronet customers stay on static ip:

Static IP means that I can even make my own server and people could access my PC directly via IP. A disadvantage of dynamic IPs is that Rapid Share and similar websites which rely on unique IP addresses say that the slots are full and prevent you from downloading anything or availing any services dependant on unique IP addresses.

No earthly idea. Maybe they are running out of their pool of available static IP addresses?

thanks, I've dropped them an email. lately since the masud 'fiasco' they are pretty reluctant to reply to my emails before loads of thought

woohoo! downloads free for all MBL and Nayatel customers, from 8pm to 8am daily. w.e.f. today. which means we're on free time right now (confirmed from their support line just now).

let teh downloading begineth!
