Alternatively, if you are truly interested in getting a domain name, try namecheap.com. I would recommend them personally since they provide very good service. Also, they charge about 9-10 dollars compared to register.com's minimum of $35.

trkID... Tracking ID, ain't it? Tracking ID is used to see which affiliate sent which person to any site so profits/revenues can be accordingly distributed/divided.

As I have experienced while shopping online at multiple websites, promo codes are entered while checking out. They are merely a sequence of characters entered manually in a text box titled as such. If it truly is a promo code, it would be specified directly. Considering that e-commerce sites usually use a session hash for your current session, the link should be a new one each time (due to a new session hash each time which is appended to the link). Your link is a static one with static values for trkID.

I don't know about you but it seems 99.99999% like a referral link to me.

However, if I am wrong, I do sincerely apologize.

Foregoing all the above debate, consider two years of hosting with either:

Register.com : US$0 + US$35 = US$35
Namecheap.com : US$9.29 + US$9.29 = US$18.58.

Which one is the better deal?

bro da best deal is wen ur gettin somethin for free n register.com is rightnow givin free domains.
some more facts, as i said in ma first post that wen u get domain for free from them then after sometime transfer to any registrar. cuz register.com sucks big time, but as i said for free everythin is better.
n if u want some more free domains then goto www.ddboard.com, they give free domains for post n earning points.
