Switched to this a few days back, after using Avast. Symentec's detection rate is eons better than Avast's.

^ True. Try this and then v11 if you are in the mood for experimenting. v11 is heavier but it has better heuristic scans, antispyware scans and also has a network protection component.

Although i am very satisfied with Mcafee Enterprise VirusScan 8.5i but
nothing beats Symantec Corp. Ed. when it comes to being light on resources.
