my friend bough a Benq from galaxy about 2.5 years back. It had 3 MP camera with rechargeable battery the result was pretty good, and it was under 5,000. I suggest that you check Benq cameras out!

UZI will become famous soon enough
Go to saddar, you can get used cameras there...and you can get pretty good deals too in that price range if you know what to look for...one of my cousins got a legend of a second hand camera...the Olympus C760 Ultra Zoom for around 6k but i doubt you will be that lucky...if i were you i'd look for olympus Camedia also known as C Series cameras, they were the best compact cameras back in the day and are now more of legends...if looking for canon, look for Powershot A75-A95....Pentax look for Optio S30,S40,S50...i think you might be able to find good Kodak's too...i dun know their model no's...If you so happen to go there yourself lemme know which cameras were available in ur range and then we can settle upon a model... and one more thing, cell phone cams are toy cams, please dont compare them to real cameras no matter how old.

just an idea for you i am not saying its a good deal *http://wccftech.com/forum/olympus-3-...p-t14867.html* or we can easily find benQ cams here at HC (budget cams) good results too.. and u can find good used cam in this price but before buying be sure if they ain't repaired..

@imran4sin
i may be a good photographer but UZI is too good with camera's and he is the one who recommend me my last cam choice, thanks UZI bhai, app ka naam kia hai?

@uzi
i think he should buy a new cam because at local markets used cams are often repaired or having some sort of faults.. what do you say?

yes thats much probable that you might get a cam which may have defects...i dunt think that the local shopkeepers here are talented enuf to handle digital camera repairs...Ive also seen cameras within the warranty period ending up in the trash can as the company which handles warranty claims for both Olympus and Nikon hardly delivers on warranty issues...also cheap cams dont last long in my experience...in the end it all boils down to the question as to how much photographic control and quality you require of ur budget...

u want safe: buy a new cam
u want bells and whistles: get a used one

I'd recommend you to weigh your options for both new and used cams and make an informed decision...the name is Uzair btw wats urs Immy ?
