As the title states, im looking to buy a camera with good results. Doesnt have to be too high res, as i know i'll normally be taking pics not more than 2MP. So a 4-6MP camera would do fine. I need a reliable camera with good and reliable results. When high res pictures would be taken, the results should be clear, and not hazy.

My range is 10k-12k.

Suggest me some good stuff! Oh, and it should be available here as well. Dont wish to order it from abroad.

Can't give you an exact answer, but Canon and Nikon are the brands to look out for eventhough you can find Sony and Olympus at much lower prices.

Not related to the thread, but yes, the N73 has a good camera. I took all my pics in UK with it and the results were great for most of them where the light was good.

Take a look at these two:

1) Fuji Finepix F31fd
2) Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ3

This fuji is a cult camera, it has the best low light quality ever! It gives almost SLR like quality. Check out Fuji pakistan's website and call them to find out if they have one available. It has been replaced by a newer 12mp model. If it is available do lemme know i'll buy one for myself too

The panasonic model is nice because it has Image stabilization and good 6x zoom factor, you wont find these qualities in this price range. Its available on shophive for 13500 and u know the prices are always higher there.

Ill see if i can find any other good models in the price range.

Thumbs up hmm...

Assalam o alaikum

Nikons are considered to be the best in still photography.

But as you have a range of 10-12k, then you should go for SONY Cybershot.
You can get a 7.1 or 7.2 MegaPixel camera in that range.

And you will be extremely happy with the results. Most people can't tell the difference between the pics taken with a Nikon and Cybershot.

So, go ahead with a Cybershot, & I believe that you'll be able to get a 1gb memory card with a 7 MegaPixel Cybershot within 12K.

Update us all on what you get.
