Salam, guys m willing to setup my other system for downloading purpose. currently m using Cable Network "Skylink", and i want to share that LAN connection, so my other PC can have this connection for downloading purpose.

kindly tell me how to interconnect both Systems and how to share one system's internet connection (based on LAN), for other.

Reply ASAP.

1. Get a cross over ethernet cable

2. Make sure both computers have their own unique names.

3. Make sure both computers are on the SAME work group. both 2 n 3 are checked under device manage (right click my computer -> properties) Both systems must have atleast win xp

4. Once u have done that, open network connections, click ur cable network modem, then right click the network adpater. then click bridge connections

5. that is it

6. to share files between the computers, u would need to activate file sharing. right click ur HDD partitions and enable sharing

ok i need to use net on my lappy and pc . i have my worldcall modem connected through usb to pc and both comp are connected by ethernet crossover cable .
now whenver i bridge both connections net doesnt work on both pc's even plus i have to disbale cable modem in order to acess both pc's :S
edit : done using " setup a home network "
