Assalamualaikum everyone.

I want to create a dedicated server for counter strike 1.6 which will be opened for all. I've created a LAN dedicated server but now I want to create a dedicated server in which players from other networks can join aswell.

So, tell me. Should I set the server type to 'Lan' or 'Internet' while making the server? The current IP address of my LAN gaming server is 192.168.0.71:27015

Bhaiyo the server is not up yet.

Let me download the non-steam version of Counter strike than I'll make a dedicated server.

Can someone provide me the link from where I can download the non-steam version of CS? I found many links to torrents via googling but p2p - torrents are blocked from the server end.

Hello,

Are you guys on the same cable net ?
192.168. is private IP hence only allow the users of the same network to play it.

dont u have real IP ?
u can try installing hamachi and host it there as well others can join as well.

Ok guys the server is finally up. The IP is 192.168.0.71:27015. (To find this server, go to the Favorites tab in the Find server option. Add this IP there and you're done).

Nope we're not on the same network but the internet option for making the dedicated server should allow other people to join the server.

That's just my guess.

Edit: I just reinstalled hamachi once again just to check if it works or not. Well, its connecting but while probing it gives me an error.

I have no idea about configuring UDP or TCP ports.

do u have cs 1.6 linux source ?
i can install it on real ip server if you have and can host it for you guys with lots and lots of bandwidth

well i tried in the morning today in favourites but it isn't showing any server....though i will see if nonsteam patch works or not.....
