it tells that all ubi did was port the code over to the pc, no optimizations.
the game will probably run like an a$$ given ubi's recent history of x360 to pc conversions (blazing angels 2 come to mind along with the last splinter cell game!)

but if its being ported over from the 360, and it runs ok on that, why the insane requirements for the PC?

IF these requirements are true, i'll be staying away from this one as well.. 3 gigs is crossing insanity..

Well i'm following this game for some time ...
Its Grafix are good but the reason for it to be more
RAM and CPU hungry is that there are many areas in
the game with crowds of people (NPCs) that requires
more processing and grafix power to render it smoothly

Thats what next gen games are all about lots of NPCs
at a time the consoles were developed keeping this thing
in mind so there would be no problems for consoles for
a long time its PC that requires constant supply of dough
to make things work ...

Anyway this game looks like it would reaaly benifit from
dual core CPU's & i think it would be even better with
Quad Cores ....
