NVIDIA "Cheating" With Crysis Beta Drivers?
Rating:
()
Found The Post In the Actiontrip...
Reports are surfacing that NVIDIA might've gained a few extra frame rates from their new Crysis-geared beta drivers by actually sacrificing some of the game's image quality. Some think that this can be categorized as cheating, and I'm sure AMD/ATi would like to think so. If you take a closer look at this comparison screenshot, you'll see that water reflection in the distance (the rock formation to the left towards the horizon), as well as tree reflections in the water on the right look much smoother with Radeon's HD 2900XT than they do with the GeForce 8800GT. I presume also that both screenshots were taken on "Very High" settings and with max image quality in the driver control panel. It's also worth noting that NVIDIA can simply write this off as a beta driver "bug." |

i posted this in the tech news section about a day ago
the problem is as follows: the reflections in the water are updated every 10 frames with the new driver (169.00), while the radeon updates them every frame this gains nvidia about 3-5 frames at best to get rid of the issue rename crysis.exe to dontdupeme.exe and u're good to go. here is the op: nvidia Forceware 169.xx + Crysis = Quake III and ATi 8500??? according to hardcop it does not negatively impact gameplay exp. |

Greeen team just finding whys to hype there products that all...
why do such a thing in the 1st place when u know that it can be corrected. just to show a 2 or 3 % fps gain... they do suck sometime........... just to optimize game performance with a driver. Loot at ATI in regard.. they make one driver and all is covered in that.. now thats what i call stable performance..!!!!!!! soo go and check those new drivers of the Green team and Spoil ur Experience of Crysis.. noway!!!!
