Remember this? USed to be a really cool tv series way back in early 80s.

they remade the show, which was very different from the original and more successful!

Sierra will release a game based on the tv series on oct 24th for the pc and xbx.

The game will have 10 single player mission, and multiplayer as well

naturally the game is gonna be a space shooter (more arcadey then simmy!)

I love space shooters (Wing Commander, Privateer, X-Wing, Freelancer, StarLancer). I'll probably pick this up as well

dont expect out of this world gfx! this is a budget game at $20 for the pc, and $10 for the xbx.

i have some of the new ones, and mostly all of the old ones.
i liked the new one, but had to 'realign' myself.
once u 'forget' what u know about it, it's not hard not to like it!

the show is either into it's final season or has already concluded!

i havent seen teh original (old) one.. but teh new (2003) one is seriously cool, iim in 2 seasons and yet to watch teh third..

yeah i just found that out. that is nice!
i have seen some of season 1, but that is about it.
waiting for spare time to watch em
(havent seen any movie in a very long time!)

Have you played X3 Reunion...? I am playing it since last 10 months or more and I still wan't to play it more...

yep, and x2 before that.

they are really cool, more of space sims than action aracade games. pretty endless as well. kinda like u get after u complete free-lancer.

if u like space sims, pick up tarr-chronicles. it's more like wing commander than x2,x3!

Thanks I will try to get Tarr-Chronicles...
I haven't played X2 and X:BTF before X3 so I don't know their complete story...but story doesn't matter for a game with no end and endless possibilities...
Right now I am playing XTM (Mod for X3 reunion). You should try it too.
It adds lots of ships and some new "unofficial" missions. It even adds 3 M0 ships. They are cool with more than 15GJ shielding and 30-32 docking bays for any ship up to M6. Hyperion M7 can dock as well. And there is the mobile Goner shipyard too...The only super capital ship big enough to dock other capital ships (1-2 M1/M2) along with other smaller ships...

Ali Bhai I haven't played wing commander and other previously released space sim/arcade games...I just played Darkstar One few months ago. It had more of an arcade feel in it...whereas X3 is trade/combat/empire building sim.

DS-one never really worked for me. i dunno why.
i'll give x3-xtm ago, but the game consumes a lot of time! time which i can spend sleeping

I didn't like DS-one much either...X3 along with XTM rocks...it just a bit hard on sleep and other social activities
