This seems quite harsh, wile realising the issue that music is totally a controversial issue... Please also pay attention to verse 59, of Surah Yunus, i which Allah asks men not to evolve things from themselves as halaal and haraam... (realising the fact that there is no verse in the Quran which specificallu bans music)...
I have immensely talked regarding this subject with other people and i do not want to debate on it any further, seeing that it remains a controversy... It would be best for you to stay away from them. They are imitiating the kuffar. But people gonna say, 'well, but they mention islam, Allah", so what. All these songs and nasheeds take muslims away from listening to quran. Their hearts get fillled with the love for nashees and slowly abandoning quran step by step. Trust me, those are tricks of shaytan. There some exceptions when it is permissible to use nasheeds, but should they be used all the time? or even make concerts. May Allah make our hearts love the Quran. If we enjoy listening nasheeds more than quran, then something is wrong with the piece of meat in our chest, the heart.

I still haven't got a convincing counter from anyone to the argument presented in favor of Music in Khuda Ke Liye.

i was a music addict (still having 3500+ songs on hdd, 200+ tapes, 400+ cds).
i considered music to be islamically lawful against the common belief since theres no direct verse in the Quran in this regard, did research for months.. articles by different scholars.. fatwa sites and also went through the book on music by imam Ghazali (mentioned in the article by azeembhai) written a 1000 years ago (part of his ihyatul uluum).. i couldnt find my answers and stopped listening to music just for the heck of it.. perhaps one should leave it just to decrease the contradictions which we are living with in our minds.. |

Bhai mera i will try my level best to answere ur questions..
NATIONAL ANTHEM also contains music. Also some milli tarana's contain music. First i will answere what is music? Music is the art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm. Noise results when irregular vibrations are made at irregular times. Musical sound results when regular vibrations of the voice or a musical instrument are produced. Second answere is NATIONAL ANTHEM also contains music. All our milli tarana's contain music ? My answere is yes they all do contains music, but what made them so evergreen, different types of musical instrument used in them. Now read this what is written in 40 AHAADITH on MUSIC which i have posted.. (11). Hadhrat Ibn Abbaas (radhiyallahu anhu) narrated: "The musical drum (tablah) is haraam. Liquor is haraam, and musical instruments are haraam." (Kaf-fur Ruaa') (15). Hadhrat Ibn Abbaas (radhiyallahu anhu) narrated that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "I have been sent (by Allah Ta'ala) to destroy the musical drum (tablah) and the flute." (Jam'ul Jawaami') The tablah and other forms of musical drums are not to be confused with the duff for which there is limited permissibility. (17). Hadhrat Ali (radhiyallahu anhu) said: "Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) prohibited beating of the duff (drum) and the sound of the flute." (Nailul Autaar) From this Hadith as well as others, the ambiguity about the duff is eliminated. It is clear from several Ahaadith that the general ruling of prohibition applies to even the duff. However, an exception has been made for o*!nly the duff for the Days of Eid and marriage occasions provided no haraam acts are committed. This Hadith has the effect of abrogation. It cancels out the other narrations in which the duff was allowed. The fact that Hadhrat Ali (radhiyallahu anhu) and other Sahaabah too propagated the general prohibition of the duff even after the demise of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) is sufficient substantiation for the abrogating force of this Hadith as well as other Ahaadith which also mention the prohibition of the duff. etc etc.. Since our childhood we are listening to our national anthem and our milli tarana's almost everyday of our lives through different media Radio Pakistan and PTV and some other different channels. So now u tell me what should we do about them ?. Can me and u and members of this forum stop them and tell them that this national anthem and our milli tarana's have Haram Music.. NO.NO.. Just let it go and stay focus in ur life.. Remember one thing bro Allah knows best.

music is not haram .haram basically states towards eatables like liquor and pork.
if people think music is haram what would happen to all the naat singers.they just wont pack up and leave.so music is not haram.and it depends how u look at it. |
