Hi,

I am Chinese and I heard a lots of news report about the help and favour from Pakistan when our Sichuan province, southwest of China suffered an earthquake on May 12.

Chinese people will never forget the friendship between our country. We appreciate your warm hand when we suffer pain.

Could anybody give me more information about the popular internet forum in Pakistan? I would like to post more thread to say thank you to Pakistani friends

I read it in Daily Nawa-i-Waqt (I don't remember the exact date but it was in mid-may). And let's suppose if that is not wholly true. We all know the inflation of prices of every thing in last ten years. they have increased two to three fold than they increased in first 50 years after independence. IMO that alone is enough to prove the previous "Leaders" guilty of bringing the country to the edge of abyss. I won't hesitate in saying that previous 10 years was the worst and decade in Pakistan History.

Inflation isn't only occurring in Pakistan. It is happening all over the world. In fact, recently, there has been a lot of talk about America going into recession. Since our economy is tied so much to the dollar, it is affecting us deeply too. Previously, American economy was relatively stable. Now it isn't. That doesn't reflects the performance of previous 50 years, as you term it. It just tells us about the dollar's stabilitybefore the WoT. That isn't Musharraf's fault, nor his democratic government's. The only way to improve the situation is to de-link our economy to the maximum extent possible from the dollar but that isn't going to happen.

In fact, considering the overall economic figures, the last ten years (not including this one) have been the most rewarding for Pakistan. I am not debating the reasons or the mechanics, merely that there has been a lot of improvement with room for a lot more.

General Saab will be fleeing to Turkey pretty soon. Newspaper and TV Channels are saying "Ba-izzat tor par sadarat chorna chah rahe hein". What do you think General Saab will live in a three room flat after he have left presidency and most possibly the country.

The main question is that these leaders (including the current ones) drink the blood of all the people in Pakistan. They don't answer to anyone after doing unthinkable amount of corruption. Where were all that money (422 arab Rs) the loan taken from state bank in previous year was spent? On the betterment of country... I don't think so. If it was then situation of Pakistan would have been better.

Elite of the robbers become the leaders. The rob the people who have given them vote and then after their term flee from the country with all that "Maal-e-ghaneemat". I am sick of all of them... They don't deserve to get a single vote... Let alone form a government.

Governments take loans from the banks for development projects. It is true that a lot of it is wasted on bureaucracy but at least, some portion is used for the projects. What matters is how large a portion that is w.r.t the loan amount. And 422 billion rupees from local banks aren't going to make an effect when the country has 38-40 billion dollars in foreign loans.
