Recommend me a 22" LCD

As the topic says, im out to buy a 22 incher, and need to know which one to get. I have heard samsung being the better ones out there, but since 22 inchers are not so cheap, i need solid recommendations to make my decision.

my price range is average, say 22k -25k.

even if im to go for samsung, which one of them?

heard its decent, but any good reasons to go for it? moreover, there are 2-3 different 22" viewsonic LCDs (as per galaxy).

Again..which one if viewsonic?

viewsonic = terrible color banding, plus they quote grey to grey change time rather than black to black time, which is different. that is not to say that other dont do the same, the thing is it is pretty misleading to call ur lcd a 2ms variant when this isnt b2b but g2g.

get a samsung, make sure u dont get a "C" panel

though the viewing angles are pretty restricted.

the 2232 is a newer unit which probably has better characteristics, but it does cost more.

i dont have a lcd screen as i am not convinced they are better for gaming.

don't get the 226bw as they are all coming with the C panel ... go for the Samsung 2232BW .

viewsonic does have lower ratings. well samsung it is then.

what are the specific problems in C panel?

and if C panel is to be avoided, then im left with 2232bw as Adam suggested.

by any chance, is this Asus LCD available here?

i m using 2232bw and it is very gudd, but the viewing angle is restricted...

Here are some pics of Viewsonic VA2226W(-3 revision) in a dark room. Notice the black strips at the top and bottom and check for any signs of backlight bleeding.

The picture quality isn't great as is typical of Nokia in dark shots. I shot it with my N73.
