Motherboard Problem

aoa ,
my first mobo that is asus p5b mx wifi , is not working . the light on mobo also doesnt gets on when psu is on . the only thing i can see is a transistor bended to a side ( dont know how it happened) so is the motherboard dead?

and my second mobo asus p5s mx se its also not working . it turns on proc fan runs but no display :S i have tried diffrent rams took out cell different hdisk but no sucess . ppl tell me that this mobo is also dead.

so wat u ppl say ? any solution or any chance they might still have some life

and both are out of warranty

If it is just a transistor, it can be repaired.

thanx for a quick response. well i guess its a transistor i guess something happened with it while shifting it from pindi

so any one from lahore who can recommend me a reliable shop to fix this.
plus what u ppl say about the second mobo it get on , proc runs but no display.
man this is bad two computers going down simultaneously

still no guesses

i have now also tried diffrent psu on the p5s mx but no display i guess bios has gone corrupt or something or may be vga is kaput .
ppl from lhr plz tell me a reliable shop where both pc's can be fixed

transistors get bent all the time, that should really create a problem., did u try another psu on the p5bmx
as for the other mobo get hold of a discrete video card and give it a go

yep tried two more psu's but p5b isnt giving any response .
and will inshAllah try another graphic card .

i am having the exact prob in my AMD , Msi K8NEO4 Post solution when u fix ur mobo.

Try taking out the gfx card and memory, then turn it on for a couple second (let it beep), then shut it down (unhook the power cord), put in the gfx card and memory again and then power it back on. See if this works.

solved the p5s mx problem it was because the processor fan was loose .now its fine after fixing it . second mobo i guess needs to be taken to hafeez centre
