What do you guys think is the average duration of a single application of Thermal Paste. I applied almost a year ago when i bought my Zalman CNPS9700 LED but recently i noticed that the temps were rising so i had to re-apply the thermal paste. Is 1 year a fare value or does that value decreases as the processor ages ???

bro that dont make any sense...

i hv 2.66GHz CPU
i bought it used ..
i think 1 yr used and
i m being using it more than 2 yrs..
thremal paste is working perfectly
just notice that the heat sink is free of dust..
if there is dust..
remove it..
clean it with blower
and again fit it..
u will see a 10*C temp difference

You are absolutely right? actualy when i was facing those heat issues my mind went straight to putting Thermal Paste instead of focusing on the dust. Although i did a complete blow out of dust and saw great improvement in temps specially in load times.

Will be careful next time.
