Guys i am planning to buy the motherboard and this ram. Do you guys think that i should go for Dominator 1066 or 800 version as the FSB at the board is 1600 MHZ which i think over 800 MHZ Dominator version will serve better in Dual Channel to full feed the Processor.

Like if i take the Dominator 1066 version both the RAMs will have to use 1600 MHZ FSB which could be a waste considering there is not enough bandwidth available on the board.

What do you guys think.

higher speed ram would take u higher on ur oc.
e.g.
consider a Q9300 @ 1300mhz, which has a base of 333mhz
ddr2 ram would run @667mhz at that freq (333x2)

now say u wanna oc and take ur base freq to 400mhz for an effective ddr2 speed of 800mhz, considering u want to run ram 1:1 with the fsb

uptill that point u're okay with 800mhz ram, and considering that q9300 has a low multi, and high fsb u would want to push higher, where higher speed ram would help keep 1:1 fsb

the fsb is the same, i.e. 1333mhz, base = 333
3.0 ghz would mean a multi of "9"

u could push ur cpu to 3.6ghz before u would need to change ram:fsb ratio from 1:1 with 800mhz ram
(which isnt all that bad, but then i like 1:1, or faster ram! )

imo 800mhz is okay, dominator is over kill lest u're into super oc'ing
