why are you guys around the e12xx....are you all thinking of making
NAS or a media server, and from what i can gather, won't a e series proc from AMD, ice this proc? don't take me wrong, i have been afer a proc like this, wanted to build a home server, with WHS so it could backup, the house's PCs and serve media, rather than my X2 3800+

found the ex stock there.....3900rs
paradigm theres something called a budget build...amd processors are good in the low end but they are overpriced here, the catch with a amd is as follows If you have DDR1 memory, if you have a decent agp card and yet you want to upgrade where do you go? buy a used socket 939 or 754? buy am2 platform?no ddr1 on that and havent come across no Agp for that platform.... so you see what amd misses? fast forward to the asus p5pe-vm, agp ddr1 support and core 2 duo support and all that for 2800rs on the trusty 865 platform, doesnt overclock but is still a very decent solution plus 3 year asus warranty... the e1200 if had for 3300rs would be a good deal, if you had old stuff lying around such as i do, a sempron 2100+ dual core pawns it anyways but then again the board support is the problem in amd for someone like me, amd is decent but everything about it is overpriced!! paradigm about the performance well how about you run a superpi 1m test on your current rig ill let u know wat a e1200 scores should give you a good idea of where the processor stands! runs head to head to a 2.4ghz clocked single core 939 or 754 in superpi 1m runs...the power of this is displayed when you run the 3dmark06 cpu test have a go at that too!! the e1200 does a 3dmark06 cpu run at 1300ish marks! try your processor see what you score should give you an idea....

GOOD NEWS:
Anyone who wants to buy a e2160 processor at 4400rs let me know, the processor will have the intel original warranty, the processor will be boxed and as opposed to galaxy's 4800rs retail price I am getting it at 4400rs.... Also available E1200 celeron for 3900rs on monday I am heading to buy a processor this will be a one off opportunity cuz the former processor isnt available at the price im offered and the later processor isnt available in the market at all! Anyone who wants to buy any of these processors for personal use pls pm me by sunday morning max to be able to avail these prices! Khi based fellow pkf members are most welcome!!!

none bhai not earning a single rupee on it :s just doing it cuz iv had to go through a lot of khwari and if there is someone budget oriented then i think its worth it if your getting the price difference, other then that pop isnt selling to individuals so thats a problem too and both the processors are acquirable by me....
the catch is that iv found a source in Intel pakistan ![]()
