Guys,

I am building a new system for office use. I have come up with the following configuration:

E6550 2.33Ghz (4MB CACHE - 1333 MHZ FSB)-----------------------------------12100
DG33FB (775PINS - SND+AGP+GIGALAN - 1333MHZ FSB) PCX SLOT-------------------7350
XMS2 DHX TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX/800 BUS---------------------------------------4000
250GB 3.5" HDD SATA II 7200RPM (1+2 YEARS) 16MB Cache (WD2500AAKS)----------4200
CHASSIS CM ELITE 333 WITH 350W POWER SUPPLY---------------------------------3500
GeForce PCX 8400GS 512MB (128BITS) DDRII-----------------------------------4300

Total cost-----------------------------------------------------------------35450

What do you think? I am sure you guys can recommend something better in the same budget of around 35k. Typical usage scenario is that multiple graphical softwares such as photoshop, illustrator will be running at the same time along with outlook, word, excel etc.

I am in a hurry so a prompt reply will be much appreciated.

nice choice but cut down on the motherboard and buy a XFX 630i and buy a better card
options are
GeForce PCX 8600GTS 512MB (128-BITS) DDRIII

ATI PCX 2600XT HD 512MB IFAN 128BITS DDR III

hmmm specs r ok....but dont get 630i as it doesn't support dual channeling, get Asus p5k-vm instead.....as far as gpu is concerned dont waste ur money on 8400 gs.....and 8600 gt/gtsand 2600 xt will be an overkill for ur use....

get bfg 8500 gt 512 mb instead for rs. 5300 or same gpu from inno for rs. 4800....rest of the specs r fine......

ali.tayyab is on a distinguished road
here is what i would do:

CPU get a E8200
MOBO: Okay, better is as suggested by fajoo24 (asus p5k vm)
RAM: . save and get Value ram 667. Works great. as u're picture man get 4 gigs. about 6400. u dont need xms2. the difference between performance is most pronounced when using compression software and we are talking about seconds. if u dont plan on o'cing then no need
gfx: rite now use the one onboard. i dont think u'll need a discrete solution for ur line of work.

a better cpu + more ram, cut back on discrete video + mobo (maybe)
