Hello Everybody.. Hope all is well..

My problem is that i brought 2gb Corsair 800MHZ ram, But i felt to lazy to open up my chassis and install so asked my cousin to do that. My couz installed it in a SINGLE CHANNEL way.
Today finally when electricity had gone and i had nothing else to do i decided to open up my chassis and set it in a DUAL channel mode. Now i get BLUE SCREENS.. System hangs up... Wont boot... and things like that... So for now again i am running in SINGLE CHANNEL mode... So wat should i do to fix this??

Thanks in advance.

My mobo is INTEL DP35DP

Thanks Mave.. I found that out when i looked into my rig on the RAM SLOTS... Its written 1.8V. Corsair is 1.9V.
Single channel mode everything is okay... But dual channel does not work. Will try to run at 667 but i want to run it at 800 MHZ else wats the point?

So any ideas???

try changing the slots..
dual channel configuratio is usually like this.
if u have four RAM slots.
then to enable Dual channel.
u will have to configure the rams in either of the 2 ways.
1 : slot 1 or 3
2 : slot 2 and 4

thats how it works..
try it out and then tell whats the scene!!!

Okay i tried slots 2 and 4 but same problem still exists.. Blue screens and system hang ups... Currently im running on 5-5-5-18 @ 800 Mhz SINGLE CHANNEL.

I found on the corsair website that XMS2 runs on 1.9 V where as XMS2 DHX runs on 1.8V which is supported by my MOBO... So tell me people should i get it changed or does anyone have any idea how can i run in DUAL channel mode.

thanks

if ur mobo has the option to raise Vmem then do it. take it to 1.9V.
most mobos even intel ones have this option.
u might need a new bios

Farhan_ds is an unknown quantity at this point
and for your hatred to intel.. intel mobos are the best of their kind, ensuring max compatibity and highest class components..even if they fdonot suport OC...

and raising ur voltage to 1.9 will solv your problem for sure..its in the powrer and voltage section of the bios...
