You are in luck. It's the circuit board which is separate from Harddisk. As in even you your self can remove it if you have proper screw driver and take it to some shop and get same circuit board (or whatever its called). You'll be good to go.

Last time I checked in Peshawar, it was I think about 200 Rupees for the circuit board thing. I think I have one of an old 80GB hard disk of Western Digital. Please tell what HD it is, with complete model # and see if you get lucky. Or just talk to some local computer shop there.

If I am right that's an old Seagate? Judging from the rubber thing.

if it's only a bent pin just use a flat head screw driver and straighten it. i've done it a million and one times. no biggie!

okay, then the easiest way is to get another board from a identical drive

or take the pcb off, get a low power soldering rod and unsolder this, attach a new connector and solder it back on!

Why are you worried over this little thing? This 40 pin connector is available for ~20-40 rupees on College road in Rwp. Just get one of these connectors, de-solder the current one and solder the new one on the PCB.
