GIKI is a dead horse. No good teachers, virtually non-existant research, far away from civilization but very good environment/facilities.

FAST-NU... No idea but they do have different campuses in different cities.

Oh, and the best engineering university in Pakistan is NUST. The best for management, economics, business, etc are LUMS and IBA. Medicine.... I have a little idea but it is not definitive.

many of GIKI faculty members have come to MAJU in past 2 years or so and still

there is so called good faculty which may not be there in near future coz IIUI has increased pay-scale and some other private sector institutions too like AIR UNIVERSITY

The main thing is how you look at a university and whats your intended aim. At fsc/a level everyone looks at PEC recognition, blah blah blah which is utterly useless if you ask me. If you to be a good at management plus technical stuff, choose gik/lums, you'll get alot of perspective coming to these two places.

GIKIs computer faculty sucks. If you want to do mechanical, its the best place in Pakistan for it. Electronics in getting better.

I would recommend you go to LUMS.

As far as NUST is concerned, it'll really take off when the new campus starts, at the moment its slightly better than UETs.

But in the end, it all boils down to yourself. If you are willing to learn, you can learn anything anywhere.
