Nvidia 9500GT Review!!!!!
Rating:
()
here is another little card coming from Nvidia
GeForce 9500GT is a new name for you to remember. That is if you're into low-end graphics cards. GeForce 9500GT is based on the D9M chip, also known as G96. The core will run at 650MHz and sport 32 shader processors running at 1625MHz. The anonymous source states a 128-bit memory interface leading up to the 256MB memory, which can be either GDDR2 (900MHz) or GDDR3 (up to 1800MHz). It will replace the 8500GT and (hopefully) priced similarly. The chip itself is, just like the rest of the D9x series, a die-shrink of the current D8x series, which means no DirectX 10.1 or Shader Model 4.1. It should run cooler though, and looks like a quite worthy opponent to the Radeon 3600/3400 series. Not to mention a good HTPC graphics card candidate with DisplayPort and HDMI. It's up to the specific vendors to decide which outputs to use. link : http://www.nordichardware.com/news,7251.html

GeForce 9500GT specifications surface
It seems that NVIDIA is preparing a GeForce 9500 GT to replace their older 8500 GT. When you look at the leaked specs, we could suffice with one word .. the GeForce 8600 core, as tTe G96 core has 32 shader processors, but the core operates at 650MHz, shaders at 1625MHz, which should make up for it a bit. Quite a jump for the 8500 Gt though. There will be two versions. One with GDDR2 memory at 900MHz and one with GDDR3 at 1600MHz. Both have 128-bit memory interfaces. A review posted at Chinese site zol.com.cn and reveals performance which is just slightly better than GeForce 8600GT, which isn't all that surprising since the product specs are really similar. Just like the rest of the series 9 products, this product isn't all about performance, but PCIe 2.0, lower power consumption and an updated PureVideo HD.

mates, there is no issue concerning DX10 or DX10.1 cuz microsoft anounced that they added minor changes to that of DX10.1 and also said that gpu compatible with DX10 can easily workout with 10.1 and also DX11 falling next year.
Word from game developers was that they didnt find DX10.1 to be a breakthrough in anyway so far !!! |

IMO one should spend a little bit more cash and get a 9600GSO instead of buying this 9500GT. 70-80% more performance at a price difference of 10-20%.

It's arch rival is ready kick this out from entry level card.
Ati Radeon Hd 4670 and 4650 are on there way to the market. Both have the same specification as it's predecessor 3870 but with 128 bit interface. what i anticipate that 4670 not only could beat 9500 gt but also 9600 gso. Let see what will happen. AMD's Budget Video Cards Pack Punches - Tom's Hardware |

yeah sure it is beating 9500 gt by healthy margin but it is not comparable to 9600 gso.....it can't beat that....
