PS2 problem

Hi guys,
i just got the following games for my PS2.
1:Call of Duty 3
2:God of war II
3:Tomb raider anniversary.

but the problem is both are not working. The call of duty 3 simply hangs when i start new game from main menu.
And about god of war II, my PS2 even does not reads it.
The same problem is with tomb raider anniversary, the screen goes blank when i insert the game DVD.

I have replaced the games many times but no luck!
Can anyone help me!

Do other games work?

if this is the silver slim version, that could be an issue??

yes the following games work perfectly.
1:Gta liberty city stories
2:Tekken 5
3:Bully
4:Brian Lara 2007
5:Hitman Blood money
6:Tekken tag tournament
7:Resident Evil 4
8:WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007
9:Medal of honor vanguard
10:Splinter Cell double agent

Gta san andreas also has some issues, after playing for about 5-10 minutes the game displays an error saying that "error reading cd".

and its not silver slim it's black slim. SCPH-77004

God of war 2 is not working because its dvd9 (dual layer). The fat ps2's and even the newer slims have a lot of problems reading dvd9's as opposed to single layered dvd5.
