Need console advice

Salam to all,

I wanted to ask about buying a Xbox 360. I've mainly been a PC Gamer but the upgrading costs have made me think about getting a console and dumping all the hassle associated with meeting requirements.

Would a Xbox 360 do? Is it available with modifications that allow it to run pirated games? Any helpful advice regarding would be much appreciated. This is my first console so i have no idea of usual problems/things to look for.

xbox360 that u get here (till now) are the ones with poor thermal performance. wait till the die shrink versions hit the shelves, (consoles dated nov 07 me thinks). then get one!

as for the ones in the market, yes modded ones are available both basic and premium versions (has wireless controller and silver trim, hard disk, head set).

the price for the basic version is 16700 and the prem is about 22k, but this varies day to day and from city 2 city

get a PS3 instead...........a very reliable machine with very few game titles

Are these prices in Pakistan or just converted from US $? Plus how to spot one with new die shrink thing?

Go for Xbox 360........ the gamez are not expensive....... and there is not much diff in graphics b/w ps3 and xbox 360....... ps3 gamez are very expensive........ and there is no news of modification here of ps3

Wait till Xbox360 arcade hits the pakistani market. its much more reliable(as i heard it). i m also waiting for it.

XBox 360 Arcade is available but finding a Hacked Arcade is another story (From Electro Deals, Khalid). Maybe in a couple of weeks...

Ive seen 3 xbox360's bricked including my own...heed what ali tayyab has said, wait for newer boxes with better proc's
