I had this problem earlier that i wanted to identify whether a Q6600 that i am buying has Core Stepping of "G0". But then i thought how can i do that without installing the processor and running CPUZ. Then i came to know that Processor box shows it under the "S-Spec" heading. Look at the screenshot on this post (Ali bhai's post)

Intel E2180 Dual Core Processor For Sale

So in order to identify the required "S-SPEC" value follow the steps

1. Goto Intel Processor Finder

2. Select your required processor type. In my case i selected "Intel Core 2 Quad".

3. The resultant page will display as shown in following image

4. You can see that i was looking for G0 Stepping therefore i should be checking the S-Spec value for "SLACR" (marked as green) instead of "SL9UM" (marked as Red).

Hope that helps everyone.
